Department of Commerce
Commerce is a branch of business. It is concerned with the exchange of goods, services and communication. It includes all those activities, which directly or indirectly facilitate that exchange. Commerce looks after the distribution aspect of the business. Whatever is produced it must be consumed, to facilitate this consumption there must be a proper distribution channel. Here comes the need for commerce which is concerned with the smooth buying and selling of goods and services.
Since the second half of the 20th century, the world has entered in the new era of the Liberalization, Privatization and Globalization (LPG). This era began with the creation of the GATT (General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade) in 1947 which finally lead to the creation of the WTO (World Trade Organization) in 1995. Those organizations have for objectives to accelerate, in the world scale, exchanges of goods, services by limiting the barriers of the commerce between the countries. Department of Commerce is one of the most famous departments in this region. It is privilege for the dynamic team of faculties to be the part this department.
